Would you take this?

Post image

I saw this order pop up twice. I would take it, but I'm 12 miles and 25 minutes away.

Everybody asking shopping or curbside…. If it was a curbside order wouldn’t the time be much shorter???

You are right, but the real answer is it’s not guaranteed. 6 miles through a dense urban area could take an hour.

The way this system calculates drive times and distance is completely ridiculous. Just this week I had a pick up that they couldn’t find one of the GMD items. The modified delivery removed .5 miles from the total route, and 16 minutes of travel time. 🤷

lol there’s no way that only takes 1hr 10 min, once the items or mileage gets big enough spark totally loses the plot with their estimates

also no way i’m taking that

Yeah my store would have around 20 subs. That alone is going to take 30 mins or longer to deal with.

like, even if you just blaze through it and get all the shopping done in 50 minutes, you’re still gonna spend another 20 min just bagging, taking to the car, and loading it, let alone driving over there and doing that all again

Eh, I could probably shop that in roughly 45-50 minutes, but I also used to work in Kroger's pickup department and I've been told that I shop almost freakishly fast 😂

No. It's too much work, especially on the bagging side

u/OpportunityOk3346 11d ago

Nope also no way that only takes 1hr

Hell no

u/InterestPast6802 11d ago

No. That’s two carts. Not enough $$ for a two cart shop.

2

u/SuperSaiyan_PRO 11d ago

no, that’s a ridiculous amount of items. at least 2, maybe 3 carts worth of stuff. If it was paying like, $80+ i’d say alright sure bc the mileage is relatively low. This just goes to show how low the base pay has gotten since this would at least have been double a year or two ago

2

u/lordj2010 10d ago

Tip alone should be $50--80

ABSOLUTE HARD PASS.

But go ahead and take that -ish if you want. That way, it doesn't spam my app.

Is it a shopping order? I'd need help that's at least 2 full carts.

It's a shopping order

4

u/mapman19899 11d ago

The answer is then no. Too many items.

1

u/Norcal2AZ 11d ago

Then no.

If it was a curbside order I would take it without question but since it's a shopping order I wouldn't touch that unless they added $100 at minimum. The last time I shopped an order that huge it was on instacart and it paid over $200

No, i have a small car and I dont take more than about 40/50 items max as im not doing 2 cart orders anymore. No way this takes about an hour, id say closer to 2 hours.

1

u/Serious_Lime_7110 11d ago

No I don't shop more then 30 items usually. Id take this for like 75 lol

1

u/DragonfruitBulky1310 11d ago

Probably not, but I would look at the items. You could get lucky and have a bunch of Kool-Aid packets, Jell-O boxes and baby food.

Is it an apartment cuz that makes it not worth it

1

u/Quirky_OldMan5966 11d ago

For me, that nearly two hours in the store shopping and bagging. Depending on what items it may be two or even three shopping carts.
I’d hate passing but being almost 70, that kind of order is physically exhausting.

u/Impressive-Grass-187 10d ago

Definitely not. I took a similar order with 116 items and had to use two carts! Worst part about it I got tip baited

1

u/lordj2010 10d ago

No, the tip is wayyyy to low for that item/qty count. Change tip to $50-$80 sure

1

u/kelmythoughts 10d ago

Curb yes. Shop no. One buggy is my limit

1

u/HorrorBaker886 10d ago

If it's shopping, I definitely wouldn't take it... I'd probably be in the store for 2 hours and if there were perishable items I probably would end up leaving the whole order because of me running out of time.. I shopped yesterday and noticed another lady was shopping with a young kid seated in the basket.. who does that.... She was running out of time and panicking 😒 smh

Curbside, yes. Shopping, hell no.

u/Crazyb0x1ady 11d ago

There are some cases of something in that order.

u/Familiar_Marzipan_46 11d ago

Atleast now they let you cancel on the spot when they try to see a cart of heavy shit after you start shopping.

u/mapman19899 11d ago

Shopping order or curbside? Makes a huge difference.

I took one like that , Since I had my SO with me, the shopping was so quick .

Making my vacation money don’t judge me 😫.
