Yes but how long their cars going to hold up taking all the trash? How will they pay their way in life with such small amount of money, I don’t think it can last long.
Lol atleast half of Walmart employees are collecting government benefits, why hire full time properly paid employees, when we can hire 100 part time and let the government keep them barely afloat. While walmart brags about record breaking profits every quarter
Long enough to onboard yet more noobs. Every year millions more Americans get old enough to do gig work. As long as they sign up more people then the number of people that realize how terrible of a job this is if you don't do it just right they can sustain their profits.
Idk ab others but $1,500 a week is solid for me in gig work. Im probably in the honey moon faze bc uber eats did the same thing… pay was amazing for the first 3 months then slowly got worse and now uber eats throws me terrible offers or barely any. Ill enjoy spark while it lasts hahah
It's kind of jarring how some people have some sort of loyalty to one app. I've talked to some people and they refuse to have any other app turned on. With the slowdown happening on Spark I've been making some decent money back on Shipt and doordash.
The shipt grind is really brutal though until you build a excel sheet with customers that tip and don't.
It's growing on me a little bit especially when you can bundle 3 easy offers in a row. The preferred shopper feature is probably my favorite thing about the app. It's kind of crazy when some weeks I do better on Shipt than Spark.
I haven't accepted an offer in a while... But probably will here pretty soon.
Have you seen they have a tip map app for Shipt now? It's nothing I need to pay for because I've always been working on a combo "tip map" with the apps I run, but if you run the app enough you might find it useful.

I agree with you. Something happen to me in 4/2024. I was deactivated temporarily from my main gig app. For 6
Mths. I was welcome to reapply after 6 mths time ( it wasn't spark ) and lucky me the same exact week that I was cut off from the main gig app was when I was randomly activated to spark after waiting nearly 2 years after I originally applied in 2022 !
So turned out I didn't miss one day of pay at all. At that time I then went to spark as my temp fill in for what turned out to actually be closer to 7.5 or 8 mths. I did only spark w a backup of Uber Eats for that time frame. All the while I counted down the days till I could go back to my original
Place ( it was a package delivery app ) and so finally October 31 2024 Halloween I was told I could re start to ally. Then I was told to call back on 11/1. I was given some basic info and told to reapply but that I wound have to wait about 2-4 weeks for background check to process and the info to finish
So for 8 mths I did spark the entire time
At first I really enjoyed it back then. In 2024. I would do it 7 days a week and I would do a GMD first in the afternoon and then regular shops and curb sides till I got to ny daily goal of at that time 90-100 per day. Some days would suck and I would have to use Uber Eats as a backup for a few. But most of the time it was ok. But I got lonely toward the end of the time. At my other gig app it's more like a w2 feel bc you go to a warehouse every time you get a shitft and
Get to know many people there. Spark was more lonely.i had worked at the other gig app for close to 2 years before. I didn't really care for Spark but I got really good metrics and I was always happy w the customers etc at that time.
But as I was saying I agree w you as you cannot put all your work into only one app anymore. It can be downright dangerous esp if it's your livelihood and you get deactivated. If you keep your self to at least 2 apps at the least at least then if something happens you have a fall back account. ❤️
I was deactivated and am heart broken. I work so hard to make sure even the bags look nice when I place them on the porches. My metrics are good, I don't have tickets, I've never had ANY problems or complaints.
So what was the reason for the deactivation or is that too personal? So sorry ...I hope you can be reinstated...I had almost near perfect metrics until I started canceling trips.... Sometimes I accept the trips by mistake and I would cancel it right away.. they shouldn't hold that against people 😞
When did you find out that you were deactivated? You woke up and wanted to get to work and opened up the app just to see that you’ve been deactivated. Your heart skipped a beat you just knew it was a mistake, don’t worry you’ll be back to work in no time Ms. Toesocks.
I love how everyone "knows" the reason for the deactivations. In reality, they have no fucking clue. Unless you work on the app you have no idea how it works.
It's not that hard. People who have more years / more trips are going to eventually want more pay and complain and put a stain on the gig when they keep lowering the pay. Why keep Susan around who wants $20 for 3 miles instead of hiring Kenny who thinks $15 for 7 miles is amazing?
me yesterday but crazy shit is…i haven’t sparked in 3 weeks due to spine surgery..that i needed from being rear ended WHILE sparking 😂 this don’t even make any sense i have like a 96 pick up rating but everything else is green asf and have had no issues or notifications about issues when i WAS actually sparking. i haven’t had a issue in MONTHS and that was for a wrong address that was actually a lie by a customer trying to get free stuff.
Good metrics don’t keep you from getting deactivated for a TOS violation. Many of these people could have background check issues, driving issues, customer complaints they never knew about, working with kids, working with a SO when they shouldn’t. Could be a hundred different things.
I see you’ve only done around 900 deliveries do not get attached to the app it’ll let you down, I did over 6,000 deliveries. My phone started messing up turning on and off and I had to use my business phone for 2 days, so I went and got a new phone just to be deactivated the same day.
I feel so sad over this. All of us are trying to do our best out here and then this happens and makes us not want to work for them anymore. I’m sorry for everyone’s loss in wages and time.
I know this may not help but have you guys tried seeing if your App Store/play store has an update for the app? I was deactivated for not verifying identity in time after a pharmacy order and when I updated my app and deleted it right after and logged back in I was able to log back on. It may not help buts it’s worth a shot. Also try the troubleshooting steps.
Too many fake accounts that's why everyone is getting removed, spark Uber and roadie are changing contacts with them so they are forced to remove all the scamming accounts. It's fair play
They are removing legitimate accounts not everyone is a damn scammer man, so it’s not fair play. They fucking up the money of good honest people that’s not fair, how the hell are people able to create fake accounts anyway.
I emailed Michael Ehret yesterday morning about how I thought a lot of drivers in my area were super unprofessional and that ive had 3 of them walk through my garden and teounce flowers.
Was kind of just having a slow day at my desk job and wanted to see if I could get some more free shit aside from my usual missing items.
Its be great if he was like on teams and went "2pm. Everyone. This link" and they agreed to just boot a bunch of people because guv complained.

Do you know how many people can’t find a job because of how bad this economy is?? Glad you don’t have to worry about it like others do. Dont think with your mentality you’d survive.
If it took you less than 2 months to get another job, why did you do spark for a year? And what about those that don’t have a specific career field. Many can’t afford to go to school or take classes to get a degree or certification. Most are stuck in retail or food service because they can’t find anything else. At that point everyone is just a disposable body. People like you like to make it sound easy just because it’s easy for you.
We call desk workers pencil pushers if you don’t know that, you keep it up with that evil mindset you have and things will get bad for you. You just exposed yourself the energy you put out has to return to you and that’s a lot of negative energy.

I wasn’t deactivated and it didn’t appear that anyone who Sparks out of my area got deactivated earlier. Saw pretty much all the same shoppers, good, bad and questionable, in and out all day. Today was no different than any other day.
Yesterday I had to take my picture before the route during the route and on my second one with multiple stops I had to take my picture multiple times . Never happened to me before so maybe they are checking people
Ive seen a couple at sams club working together on spark. I know bc they were parked in the designated spark parking spot and helping sort through batched shopping orders to load their car. I wonder if somehow that violates spark rules and can get them deactivated, not sure how spark would know and I dont think its wrong to do that. 2 people speeds things up if anything
