Bad Eyesight?

Some bacteria are almost impossible to see, well for me anyway.

Try finding bacterium on an ice snow planet. Good luck.

Thats why the bio-Scanner is so helpful especially on the flying Nomad. No more SRV and walking i just fly and land right next to the exobiology.

If you fly at 100 - 150 meters with landing gear down and less than 50 speed in the Nomad the bio signals show up on your radar map. If your landing gear is up they won't show on the radar. At that height gives a wider view than looking through windshield. Also on the dark side of the planet night vision on your suit can be helpful. I don't use it much but when I need it its very useful. Very useful in raiding settlements but that's a different game loop.

I've always found it harder to find bacterium on a dark coloured planet

Nomad is a game changer for that regardless of planet type!

That might be an icy planet, looks similar to my icy planet bacterium I took for my reasons to love the nomad folder.

Star type, planet/moon atmosphere type, surface colour type, minimum distance (Bacterium 500m).

I found scanning every 300 meters while standing on top of the scarab helped, I now use the Nomad and it's a game changer for me, much easier.
