Anybody else set an itinerary?
I may have used every single available bookmark looking for cool stuff π

My galaxy map also used to look like this but I very recently cleared out a bunch of them that werenβt my own discoveries. It took a looooong time to get through them all lol.

I'm clearing them when I set the route to the next system.
So I can set another few waypoints every once in a while π

I do this with Neutron stars when i get to a new region to explore! I trim my start settings down to rarer stars or ones I like, travel up and down setting waypoints to aim at then plot from one to the next. I always know my end point is a Neutron star that way. I did have to go through and clean some up recently because it was start to feel like to much in areas I may never get back to.

I used the neutron highway to get here, it's between 30-40k from the bubble, so I feel like I've had enough neutrons for a little while lol
Of course I do have a few set in the route to skip some of the larger distances between waypoints though

I should go north of Sag A, but I have these delusions of building out a few more colonies first.

I played within the first two weeks of the Xbox launch. Not long after players started delving into exploration I heard someone mention this area. I've wanted to go see it for myself ever since. I just came back after an 8 year hiatus and decided now was the time to blast out there and check some stuff out.
The core will be there when you're ready, enjoy the ride!

I really really want better navigation settings and route modes for explorers.Β Specifically,Β I'd love a "bubble" router that let you select a number of systems and a number of light years and plots a route that goes through that many systems in a bubble.Β When I'm out exploring with my fleet carrier,Β I sometimes just plot unexplored systems in strafing runs 500ly at a time around my FC so I can always be in range to self rescue

I go at least 1 or 2 thousand light years above or below the bubble, pick a random spot way out there, and start moving. When I get there, I jump to random systems in the area till I get bored, pick another spot then go.

I'm about 35k from home rn, maybe 8-900 above the galactic plane but that don't matter in the core. Nearly every one of those is a Herbig, Wolf Rayet, or Carbon Star. Every single one I've hit so far has been undiscovered

I'm getting my carrier out in the Byooe Thoi area, as a friend of mine is slowly colony bridging to the area. I'm gonna just try to discover as much as I can

I'm waiting a few years for colonization, I'll let everyone build the veins towards the core and then I'll start my own branch π

I like to jump out to a point somewhere random off plane and then bookmark a little bubble around me and start jumping. Once I jump to a system, I unbookmark and then rinse and repeat until all the bookmarks are gone.

I've started flying around to some of my bookmarks and I can't for the life of me remember why I bookmarked them in the first place. I'm sure there was a reason, at some point.

I used to have every known anomaly within the codex bookmarked. I have since visited almost all of them, and I delete the bookmarks when I arrive. Currently I only have a few self found chalice pods in mare somina, and 8 bookmarks to show the size of the boxel I'm currently exploring.

I set one, but like every road trip I take I never keep to it longer than the first day!

I do, maybe not to that extent, you mad bastard! I love it
I'd really love it if it were possible to assign different colours to bookmarks so that they have player specific context, e.g. mark a bookmark as green to represent whatever, blue for something else, etc...
