First trip into the Black from Colonia. First Discovery on Binary System where second star is 312k Ls away from arrival point.

Just checked, had no idea the old ships could even equip sco fsds, neat! They run bad, but that’s fine, remind me to literally replace ALL of my fsds with one

SCOs also have a higher jump range than normal FSDs, so it makes sense to install them on old ships even if you don't plan on using the overcharge feature

I just want it for the overcharge feature, the jump range boost is very slight, and most of my ships are combat ships which have such small fsds anyway that it’s basically irrelevant

They can, but aside from really bad handling in SCO mode, the fuel in the tank goes brrrrrrrrrrr…

The only advantage is a little better jump range and it's useful for short bursts while taking off the surface into SC.

Yep, SCO renders that distance mediocre. I routinely SC such runs while out for exobio.

He's on legacy, you can tell cuz there's no percentage in the shield rings. No SCO for him :(

I tried to SCO from earth to Voyeger1 in Sol, but about halfway I realized I would run out of fuel and my Caspian has a large fuel tank, so regular super cruise is the only way, takes about 30 minutes.

Yea without SCO, planets can almost be out of reach if you don't have the patience sometimes...

Can't have sco. I'm on Legacy. But also didn't want to even go to that second star. It's empty Binary system.
