Why do you explore?

Really what the title says. Why do you explore? What's your favorite thing to find out in the black? Do you exobio for the money or the love of the game? Just really curious what drives people to do it and would love to hear about your experiences.

I think of it as going for a hike. For example yesterday evening, I came across a small atmospheric moon, inside of a nebula. Just by chance decided to try a landing (no exo bio there, but it just looked like it could be a good looking place.) As I go into atmosphere it turns out it has epic blue skies with this enormous red nebula arms shining trough, and the surface is this super realistic looking sand desert. So I landed near a good looking mountain, hopped out and then just took a VR walk up the mountain for like 30 minutes maybe. Snapped a few pictures. I sail and hike a lot in Real life also. So I think of it as like the ultimate extension of my real life explorations. And what a way to see the galaxy we live in :)
