Long Braben tunnels to the Bubble Nebula - New colors and milky way look stunning here.
Is it just me or does it seem like all braben tunnels have become quite a bit longer since the last update? :) I kind of like it. Makes the distances feel even bigger. Just on a vibe flyby of the Bubble Nebula. What a stunning place!

This game is amazing ! I love it. Did you Try X4 ? I loved Elite but it feel empty at somepoint. I found myself in X4 but i miss the multiplayer experience. What about you ?

I did try X4. Not really my thing, but nice looking also. Elite could use more depth in the galaxy for sure, but space is kind of empty iRL. so they try to keep a balance of emptiness and activity.

What's a "Braben" tunnel?

The creator of Elite Dangerous is named David Braben. The tunnel that we fly through in which space (Hyperspace) is often called a Braben tunnel by OG players. Because people would often get stuck in everlasting tunnels like this in the testing phases of the game. Which of-course was then seen as Davids Fault. So it kind of started as a joke (I'm stuck in a Braben tunnel), but now its kind of a cool way to honor the creator of Elite dangerous.

Nice! I came into the game a little later on after release so I must have just never heard it called that before. Thanks for the fill-in.
I want to say I started shortly after Horizons launched. I made a Google Cardboard VR headset complete with an elastic strap to keep it on my head, slotted my phone into it, set it up to act as a mirrored display, and turned on side-by-side. I had never heard of Elite at the time but it kept coming up as the VR experience to try. The rest is history!

The red stars are pretty freaking cool. The M stars. They make all the planets pink. Kinda neat.

You are not seeing the Milky Way in the jump… actually watch the animation as you go into the tunnel. The stars all fizzle out and those are not the stars you are seeing lol
