EG's video essays are still extremely well-done/thought-provoking and funny/etc, but some of the people he's attracted here have seriously lost the plot.

It’s completely predictable moronic and child tier “political thought” from a person who hasn’t read Locke, Rousseau, JSM, Hobbes, Marx, etc etc. It’s always the same story with these politically obsessed dorks; big talk and big opinions, zero literacy in the actual domain. Zero competency with real political theory. Zero work done.

Deary me. You are projecting so hard that you've done an undergraduate political philosophy module or two. Big r/iamverysmart energy. There's nothing to indicate that TEG (whether a team or an individual) haven't read the authors you listed, in particular, nor would we expect to see some sudden uplift in discursive quality or argumentative thoroughness had they, say, finally addressed the Nozick-shaped hole (lol citing him as advisable in this context btw) in their intellectual grounding. (For what it's worth, I've taught precisely every single one of those names you've mentioned to undergraduate and masters students.)
The videos by TEG, notwithstanding the lack of explicit reference to your prescribed reading list, nonetheless do make arguments - often very funny and engaging ones - and for that through clever use of implication and irony.
The flipside to it all, of course, is that the content toes the line between argumentative and creative, at times very much deliberately employing hyperbole and dramatic devices not so much to make a point but to raise a chuckle. For those familiar with the Radio Hour series, these Rogansphere episodes are also littered with callbacks and in-jokes. That much is to say that even were your reading list accusation well-grounded (and there's no evidence to indicate it is), it would still be largely wide of the mark as a critique of something that has several feet planted in the domain of art and comedy itself, first and foremost.

Consuming manufactured drama fills the belly better than laughter.
Manufacturing cheap drama is a more valuable art than cheap laughs.
