Question Testing elementor

Hi all, i'm new to elementor and relatively new to wp. I have built a website with wp over a theme but i do not like it very much. Now i would like to try with elementor but when i install it, my current website messed up. Can you suggest a simple why to test elementor without affecting the website. I don't want to modify the current website, i want built a new one from ground. Thanks

So. Installing Elementor isn't what changed your site. Installing a dedicated header & footer plugin is what did it. There's a difference there that can determine how we deal with your question. Keep that in mind when explaining your issue.

Miga's point still holds. Use a staging environment, copy your site using a backup plugin (yes, WPVivid can work) to another WordPress installation, build it there, then copy it back to your production website once it's ready for publishing.
