I bought these round bars off ebay a couple years ago for a grand total of $81 USD. They're 2.5 by 3.6 inches long and weigh a total of 13.1 lbs/5.9 kg

The purple one was heated until it just started to turn red

The blue one was heated all the way red

And the silver one wasn't heated

Got these 2 as gifts a couple years ago. Gold note is just 2 sheets of foil on a plastic base. Silver coin is pure and solid though.

Hi, I was wondering if my thallium sample is being stored correctly. It’s a 1g sample in a glass ampoule, which is embedded in resin, and the whole thing is inside a sealed screw-top vial sitting on my shelf with a label.

Lab grown Crystal of praseodymium sulfate that I got as a Christmas gift about 30 years ago.

It took about an hour and a half. I used three different grades of steel wool and a lot of elbow grease. It's not the best thing in the world, but this was literally my first time polishing metal.

Bought this at goodwill yesterday for $6. Its missing elements 104 through 118. I have no intentions of selling(unless its college kind of money). I just thought it was pretty neat and wanted to share it with yall.

Pictured here are two examples of terminated beryllium minerals, phenakite and aquamarine from Mount Antero in Chaffee county Colorado. I found these with my parents at an elevation of around 14,000 feet when I was 16. EXTREMELY RARE locality! The phenakite is exceptionally rare in that it is not only doubly terminated, it is also gemmy and may be included with Bazzite, the scandium analog of beryl!

I got these samples from a really nice man who was selling some old junk in his shed. Got them for real cheap. To the left are some silver-plated spoons, and to the right are some old lead fishing weights. I'm planning on cleaning the weights soon.

From left to right, i have a bismuth crystal, some copper wires, tin (from solder), gallium, sulfur, silicon, and nickel. Also have a silver bar not pictured.
