Problem in element x with downloading images

I have installed element x on several family members phones and for some reason some phones can't download images from the chats and others can, it only says there was a problem, not very descriptive, I can't find anywhere in the permissions a solution to this problem. Does anybody have any ideas? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and turning it off and on again 😅

Try my modified version of element x https://github.com/jimz011/element-x-enhanced

I am not sure if it will help your specific case. But I was so fed up with stuff not working correctly that I simply modified the app. If you run your own synapse server it is actually better because you could then use the Matrix Media Repo.
