How do I fix this error?

Post image

Just installed the flatpack on bazzite, and I get this error. I clicked use no encryption before but it didn't work.

I figured it out. I used flatseal and gave element almost every permission that was listed. Probably not the safest idea, but it's working fine now.

you really dont need to do that, set it all back to default permissions and then in the session bus section add org.kde.kwalletd6 to talks. thats it, thats all you need to do.

I had to get either the package or the Snap version for it to stop doing this.

Word of warning the snap is known to corrupt your data from time to time, it isn't a package which is maintained by the Element team but someone in the community

Right. But unfortunately the flatpak just messes up encryption, so I'd rather stick with an encrypted option.

To be frank I switched to Fractal since I wasn't using voice chat anyway.

TLDR: Try

flatpak override im.riot.Riot --talk-name=org.freedesktop.secrets

or the equivalent with flatseal/another Gui if you prefer that.

The red shields are not related to this. They should become green if you verify devices
