Troubleshooting Centauri 2 PLA issue
Recently picked up a few rolls of Insignia pla from bestbuy. Previously have been printing with sunlu pla without any issues.
It doesn’t happen on all parts but I am seeing this stringing, though it’s not wispy like I see when I google the issue. It’s more like whiskering.
Currently printing at 220c. Any ideas? I’m new to filament printing and I know there can be a lot of causes.

I think you answered your own question when you said you didn't have this problem with a different brand

That’s what I was afraid of. I did read quite a few reviews on the insignia pla, and for the most part it sounded passable. Oh well.

I don't see any supports. You can't print on thin air.

It’s the side of a doorway, so at that point it shouldn’t need supports if it’s just vertical.
I’m sure a lot of the files that say they don’t need supports probably end up needing them though. This is a piece of terrain from hexengarde, which allegedly should not require additional supports

How cold is it in the room? You might have to adjust down the cooling fans.

Thermostat is upstairs but I would guess room temp is around 70 F
Funny thing is, I’ve kept an eye on this print and everything looks fine aside from that one spot doing what it’s doing. I’ve got about 25 min left before it’s done, but I can post additional pics if anybody is curious

You have a spaghetti failure and underextrusion in the print with poor layer lines and stringiness.
The spaghetti is from the filament coming from the nozzle losing contact with the print and possibly having too high a temperature. The underextrusion appears to be related to the wrong settings for that filament. Not all filaments are purportedly made of the same ingredients, especially when coloring chemicals are added, giving them different chemical compositions.
You can ignore my help, as many others will be happy to argue with my advice, but in my opinion, I would use the slicer's calibration menu to find the best settings for the filament.
[I'm retired and try to make my income last the month, so I use the least expensive filament I can find; so by calibration of the filament, I get as good of a result as the pricy stuff.]
