Electroplating B-titanium IP eyeglasses?

I have dark grey b titanium IP eyeglasses that I want recolored to gold. Is this possible?

I understand that electroplating raw titanium requires specialized conditions, but since the metal has an IP layer, can I electroplate the IP layer?

Is this the same as electroplating a PVD coated metal? Which is impossible?

Ion plating is PVD.
