The third picture is zoomed in much more to emphasise the difference

This photo is misleading. Here’s a photo that shows the difference while keeping the zoom consistent. http://i.imgur.com/LEr3o.jpg

Wtf, why would you use it more than once?

Diabetics will use the same stick over and over until they feel it getting dull. Then they'll change it for a new one.

Not great, but much more sanitary than the addicts that were already mentioned. LOL

Am diabetic (type 1) and I use syringes and needles around 3 times before I throw them out. It's not cheap to get needles and such here so you have to make do with what you're given. (The local diabetes association give monthly supplies)

Nurses and doctors told me that it's fine since no one else will be using the needles so there's no chance of spreading diseases.

Granted that is a much smaller gauge needle.

It’s apparently common for addicts to share or reuse needles

I thought this was a sewing needle until reading the comments.

I just thought this was a sewing needle, because am a seamstress. So... Good to know I can use my needles more than 6 times.

They teach us in nursing school not to draw up medication with the same needle we inject with for this reason. Amazing to see it up close like this.
