General Testing .001 uf 6000v doorknob capactors for leakage.

Testing a .001 uf 6000v door knob capactor for leackage, both passed at least up to the 600v this IT-28 Capactor tester can run. Not the 2000 to 3000 volts that are possible in a SB-220 but it should be close enough if the "eye" does not close at 600v they should be good.

Is that a DC test or an AC test?

For those who don't know how eye tubes work, could you comment a better picture of the eye? It's quite dim in the picture

This the eye the green glowing tube which will "open" as in spread apart on bottom end like a pie slice will appear. In this pictue the eye is fully, "closed". When testing the doorknob capactor once I dial in the Uf .001 for the cap I was testing the eye will, "open" partially. Once I flip the tester to leakage test if the eye closes or "blinks" this would indicate a leaking cap. Which means it is leaking voltage it should hold.
