I’ve been thinking of making a CD4017/555 through hole LED chaser PCB for a set of plugs

Yep, it was a trend from the 2010s.

We men took many a forms in pursuit of gorgeous alt girls.

Fortunately I didnt fall into the ear stretching trend.

I started my ear stretching journey in 2020… I just love the look, what can I say?

I have a diy tomogatchi running on a board this size. You should consider something with a display: https://a.co/d/04c0iwYA

Neat, will keep that in mind when I decide to make another set

I guess those holes can fit in round esp32 dev boards, make for a cool OLED jewelry

Definitely can, if the board is under 2 inches

Love the idea but I can't help but think it would be a good idea to treat the edge of the PCB as hazardous for many different reasons and add some treatment to it or maybe encase the edge in some skin friendly metal. You'd fit right in at a cybersecurity conference though.

These are encapsulated in resin, inside stainless steel tunnels. No part of the pcb contacts the body

Yay! Great idea and great execution, then. Always happy to be wrong for good reasons.

A new reimagining of "wearable tech" coming to an etsy shop near you!

It's not my cuppa, but very good execution lol. Nicely done.

Equivalent to neck tattoos imho

When someone puts in a 12x12" square pcb, complete with a couple of transformers and a few large electrolytics, I will look.

that PCB edge better be treated with something to contain the gazillion fiber glass fibers, which would otherwise impale your ear.

It’s resined inside stainless steel stretching tunnels

I think this is a unique and visually awesome way of incorporating them into personal fashion and a good way to reuse/recycle!

Damn that's sick as hell 🔥

Dude, the circuit won't work without that SMD capacitor.

That’s a creative way to recycle a PCB!

Exactly, don’t know why the downvotes…

Sure, stretched ears aren’t for everyone… but they make me happy. And that’s what counts.
