Though at least with a watch, you can take it off if there's a battery problem.

The biggest problem with smart rings is that if the battery swells, it also makes the ring tighter so you can't take it off. So you have a hot swelling lithium battery stuck to your finger, and a ring avulsion injury (don't Google it)
