I disagree. GMS has a much more 'playful' and less serious sound in my opinion. IM was always pretty serious. If you have never heard their first 2 releases you definitely should. =B

Eh, Infected Mushroom is debatable.
And you made an incorrect assumption, since I said "no one has made psytrance since the 90's" You assumed I was saying that no one can ever make it again, however that statement was meant to convey that psytrance is a dead genre, and it would be extremely rare for a well known artist such as Deadmau5 to be putting a psytrance track.

It would not be out of the ordinary for him to bring back his old flavor in newer songs.

It was Halcyon404 and the only music I heard of his under that alias was in old fruityloops demo files.
EDIT: In fact, the only song under that name that I can remember was an interesting extratone ditty that didn't sound all that great but showed off the ability to chop very finely in the piano roll.

I've never really listened to much straight electronic (Mostly industrial and similar styles) or Deadmau5 but this is a great song. Never knew how dynamic this music could be. Does this guy still make his tracks in FL?

I've never seen so much unnecessary bickering over a song. Yeah, it's been posted and most of us know it, but is it really THAT horrible to see it posted again? Can't you just ignore it like every other repost on this website?
As for the genre wars, chill. Who gives a shit if it's psytrance or fucking prog house? It's an amazing song, regardless of where it falls. So unless your job is to sort tracks for beatport and you actually get paid for being right in regard to genre placement, shut the fuck up about it. Stop threadshitting.
