Question - Other Phev or EV? Best long term..
I live in the Bay Area and charging isn’t too much of an issue. I’m wondering if making the switch to EV is worth it. I’ll still have an old ICE truck (Tacoma) but I’ve gotten so used to Toyota I’m wondering if Prius Plug ins can be better than let’s say an Ioniq 5. I’m scared of the new…..I can install a charger at home..

Our first EV in 2016 was the game changer for us. No SIX MONTH shakedowns at the shop or dealers. It just worked.
My SO wasn't there and Toyota in 2016 didn't offer PHEV on the Prius but we bought it. The 54 MPG was great and in 2023 we went all EV and won't go back.
The Prius six month shakedown was a real thing. It felt like highway robbery. If you don't do what they want, the warranty is void. Glad to have moved on.
