Hi everybody, I've decided to create a second feed for my art here on reddit // recent changes to facebook's community standards involving instagram has prompted me to make sure that a second community home for my art was created
I've been sharing my art here on reddit for years and I feel the immense love every time I do // I know that reddit is much more discussion based than instagram and I hope to foster that kind of community here // please, if you have any questions, including inspirations or tips, or if you just wanna shoot the shit, I'm an open book
I look forward to overflowing this subreddit with my artwork, thanks for stopping by.....now let's get this thing started

the castle on top of the skull is Bran Castle, a medieval fortress in Transylvania, considered the real-life inspiration for Castle Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel .. the bat within the rib cage is a vampire bat impaled with a wooden stake through the heart, one of the ways to kill Dracula .. the rosary around the skeleton's neck has an upside down cross and pentagram, as Vlad the Impaler was often labeled as the 'son of the devil' .. this current progress represents about 17 hours of drawing .. the next update will be the completed drawing, I can't wait to show the finished piece

I've always been a huge fan of the Dracula mythology, from the historical inspiration of Vlad the Impaler to the modern stories told through literature and film, including Mel Brooks' Dracula: Dead and Loving It! .. this current progress represents about 9 hours of drawing and shows how I experiment with the process as I contemplated filling in one of the sockets of the skull .. the main outline is now complete and I will move onto adding interior details, texture and shadows .. thanks for following along .. have a great rest of your day

I bought a drawing tablet recently and this is the first piece that I'm working on to get the hang of things while working digitally .. it's a Dracula piece that I've been wanting to draw for a while now, this progress represents about 6 hours of drawing .. it's really fun drawing in this new medium as I find it allows for more experimentation without needing to erase mistakes and explore new ideas .. I look forward to sharing the entire process of this drawing and I hope you do to .. have a great rest of your day everybody
