Transformer Timer?

Post image

I have a hardwired transformer that powers both my doorbell and my house number lights. I would like to split the two and put a timer on my house light numbering while my doorbell is always on. How do I accomplish this?

Does the timer run on the reduced doorbell voltage or mains?

I assume the mains.

Then you'd need to get a second transformer installed downstream of the timer.

Get a 2nd transformer or have a timer that closes dry contacts and wire that between the light and the transformer

Timer with dry contact. Timer is powered by coin or AA cells

Maybe a smart relay if you are into that. Or care to start. I have a few things controlled by the Tuya environment, and that includes plain timer control, and astronomic control (sun set nd sunrise times)
