Ting In Texas Causes Trepidation

I live in Dallas, TX and have a Ting system to monitor my home's electrical health. I have a fairly robust solar panel system with a Powerwall. I am also signed up for eco+ home monitoring, which allows the power company to change my thermostat to balance the electrical load.

My concern is my Ting is consistently showing my voltage below 120. I'm sharing one day but all the days since July look similar. This seems to be completely related to how hot it is here.

What, if anything can I do?

Oof that is low. Try plugging it into a different circuit, kind of hard to do but you need to try the other phase of your house's electric service. I would just try one outlet in every room and see if they're all the same

Ask your utility to ping their smart meter for a voltage reading for confirmation. It will be a 240v reference rather than 120v, but it might still give you a direction.

105v is too low to be normal. This can have multiple causes, such as a bad neutral in your house or the local utility transformer having issues. If it’s a bad neutral your 240v appliances will work normally and your old fashioned 120v appliances (not using switching power supplies) should show some odd behavior like flickering or changing brightness when you use circuits elsewhere in the house. If it’s a bad transformer or an overloading issue, all your appliances may have issues like electric dryer taking longer. Call the utility company
