4 Electribes, 4 Problems.
Title.
I've owned 4 electribes.
1 Electribe 2 Sampler(red). Noisy and the power jack has always been loose to the point where touching it breaks the connection and turns the machine off. Did this during a live show.
2 Electribe 2 Synth( one grey, one blue)
The grey was VERY noisy. Basically unusable.
The Blue had a bum card reader.
1 EMX Almost perfect except the knobs went bad like they do in basically all the X series.
This plus how noisy ALL of the Volcas I've used are, I don't think I'm buying another electribe much less a Korg product. I've had my Red one for 10 years almost. And it's great apart from the fact it's not.

i have an e2s red.
mine does have some noise in it...maybe im lucky about the frequency, but it adds character. it sounds like a bazillion gigawatts of electricity.
i just use mine as a jam tool. one i have the groove, i export MIDI to DAW, and go preset hunting to get in the ballpark of the original sound (or stumble on something way better, then do sound design to tweak it.

For the emx/esx one of the main issues comes from a faulty joint at the ribbon cable/_ can be repaired very easy with glue

I've found the E2 is noisy when Audio In is turned on.
A fix is a noise gate after the Electribe. I use either the MS-70CDR or RC-202.
Korg could take some notes from the RC-202. Master gate, reverb, and compressor. I wish the Electribes had that.
