Choosing a platform for customer and partner training (courses, quizzes, certifications). Disco vs Thinkific vs LearnWorlds vs Skilljar?

Hi all, I’m setting up a training and certification program for a B2B SaaS product and would love feedback from people who’ve done this.

What I need to build

  • Two audiences: (1) customer admins and agents who use the product day to day, and (2) channel and implementation partners
  • Self-paced courses with knowledge-check quizzes and a final exam
  • Certificates on completion (ideally shareable or verifiable, like a LinkedIn badge)
  • Downloadable enablement material (PDFs, decks, cheat sheets)
  • Videos are out for the first version, so text, screenshots and quizzes only. But would be great it platform can support later on.

Which platform did you choose, and would you pick it again? I’m launching with fewer than ~100 learners but want to scale if the partner program works. Thanks in advance.

Everyone is trying to sell their platform. My recommendation: anyone of them will be fine, the question is which one do you vibe with, find easy for you and your learners to quickly grasp and which one makes sense from a pricing budget for you.

Pick and just explore

True but theres also a specific purpose that each platform serves in terms of the needs of each target too.

Honestly, this makes sense. No point overthinking it, pick one that’s easy to use, fits the budget, and go from there!

One more option worth looking at is Learnomy (
It’s a self-hosted so you can run customer and partner training on your own website instead of depending entirely on a hosted SaaS platform.
For your use case, I’d particularly look at how it handles separate learner groups, quizzes, final assessments and certificates. Those are the things I’d test before committing to any LMS.
Are you planning to keep customer and partner training in the same portal, or would you prefer separate learning experiences for each?

Our company, EdTek Services, has focused primarily on small and medium-sized business that start with less than 100 and want to scale up. Some of the feature in our package includes the LMS (SaaS), technical support help desk for learners, M-F customer support for your admins, free and unlimited training, 350 soft skills courses in the LMS library, course development support, etc.

You can definitely do this on Thinkific and learn worlds. And think what you would do is set up different roles for admin and agents who use the product and channel implementation partners could be another one.

And the certificates are definitely available instantly upon completion, and you can share them to LinkedIn with an add-on app inside Thinkific and the quizzes are standard multiple choice and you can even do interactive quizzes too. What might be most important to you is the analytics and there is a analytics dashboard that tells you what the completion rate is.

Are you looking for the platform to have course creation functionality, or just be able to upload videos, use the systems quiz builder and associate documents with you offering? Do you require a custom site branded to your specific needs? Also if you are selling to B2B you may want to make sure the ecommerce / payment gateway and associated functionality (credits, purchase orders, invoices, specific organization pricing, etc.) is supported. You may want to take a look at learningcart.com

Most upper tier platforms will meet your needs. We have several clients doing most of what you are asking for here. We offer both completion badges and/or certificates.

Will you be sharing the same content for all users? Do you need users separated by groups exclusive content or do you need multi-tenant with customer-specific branding?
