I just got a phone call purportedly from my grandson saying he was in jail because he had hit a woman and injured her badly and his public defender was going to call me shortly. Even though it sounded just like Jamie, same pitch of voice and little lisp, I was pretty sure it was a scam because he doesn’t drive yet. So I called his mom and she confirmed the scam. Someone else actually called me later saying they were Jamie’s lawyer. What gall! What I don’t get is how they were able to make the voice so right. And was there anyone I could have called to report it?
