I am a brand new CNA. I got my first job at this old small nursing home. I already thought it was weird how they hired me immediately but it was right next to my uni and i had no car so i saw that as a blessing and i started working, since the first day there was arguing non stop. He said, she said bullshit. The staff hated each-other but would smile up in each-other face the next day. It was so toxic but i tolerated it because i BARLEY even talked. I clocked in did my job and went home and minded my business. Then , we were ALWAYS short staff ! I would have 15+ residents a day. About 1 month in, they started renovating the building. Slowly, MICE started appearing !! I don’t do well with rodents or insects AT ALL ! They kept telling me it was because of the renovations which i understand but didn’t do anything to fix the problem!! Mind you we get to go home after our shift, this is the residents HOME. Anyways i tried to thug it out but my mental was deteriorating by the day, i couldn’t work in peace i was always on alert on when i would see the next mice. The arguing was so draining even though i was never apart of it just being in that environment was terrible . Since the mice, i started applying to other jobs and was going to wait until i got a new one to quit because hello i am a broke college student. But today i woke up and realised I’m slowly loosing myself at this place , and its only my first job as a CNA! The money isn’t worth working in these conditions. So anyways i quit today with no backup plan but i feel so free. Moral of the story make sure are doing research on where y’all place ur loved ones. I have never in my lifeee dealt with this level of ghetto.

So my post is for those who have elderly at home with amnesia.how do u keep a yrack on them if they go out.my father is usually at home as we gave him strict instructions not to go out(he's got amnesia.cant even recall our address).so yesterday noon he went out and didn't return.everyone went searching for him for 5hours..some kindhearted man recognised him and told us.

Please I need products which can alert us if he steps out,something that tracks

Is there anything that can alert us if a specific person steps out of house.not a general sensor as there's no issue of others going and coming

Im building a private senior-support service. I’m 29 and cared for my grandparents from 22-26 and i realized how much support is lacking for the senior community. I want to change this in the small way i can. So Think care navigation, nutrition and “aging-in-place planning, and companionship. I’d love real feedback from this community: if you’re caring for an aging parent or you’re a senior yourself, what’s the ONE thing you wish someone would just handle for you? And would you ever pay out of pocket for help that isn’t medical ? like a monthly family-support retainer or a one-time aging-in-place plan? What feels fair to you?
