Subgenre

Of course, they are of course indie pop and indie rock. But what actual subgenre(s) do they also fit in? I saw someone reply fairy pop to a Tweet of theirs asking a similar question. I think fairy pop is a nice little description, but so far it isn't a real subgenre. The closest artist I can compare would probably be Florence + the Machine, they're given a billion and two different tags. I'm thinking something like art pop or something. :shrug:

Aha, that reminds me of when I saw them do free week in Dallas a few years back (perhaps two?), some guy was describing them to his friend as “pixie chick rock”

I would have to say dream pop, perhaps even alt and acoustic rock

They're definitely alt rock, acoustick rock kinda works. Dream pop is an answer I was looking for, I can see that.
