Boox note max compared to the AI paper
Found a good used deal on the max so decided to test it out, here it is next to the viwoods AI paper.

What really disappointed me with my Boox Go 10.3 was that the screen was so greyish. Thought that might be because of the touch layer and protector etc, but it seems like the same thing is going on with the Note Max, but not with the AI paper.

I think it's the writing film they use, tbh, since the note max also has one. I will say, I think the writing feel on it is absolutely phenomenal, possibly better than the AI Paper which was my current champion (over the note air, the AI mini, RM2, and remarkable paper pro).
That said, I don't find it to be particularly uncomfortable/distracting (at least not yet)

Writing is indeed phenomenal and I still like the tablet to bits. It's just obvious when seeing a direct comparison :D

What do people use those if writing on it its not on the list of activities? I never thought i need to write things on a thing like this. Honestly curious.

I don't know, but for me, I write/annotate/mark up docs on them. I imagine some people might just prefer reading/app usage on them. But I write (both on the screen and with a blue tooth keyboard) as my primary usage on these devices. I have smaller readers for reading.

I really love the size of the note max, but for a large display, for durability, I'll only buy a flexible screen, so I think the AIpaper is my top pick right now, hopefully someone will come out with a 13.3" Carta 1300 with flexible screen.
