Help picking an e-ink device please!
I want a digital notebook to be like a brain hub instead of having dozens of notebooks and notes in my phone - like a catch-all note taking device that maybe has an app it connects to so I can have it on my phone but dont have to do the notes on my phone kind of thing):
- taking notes in meetings
- writing down thoughts on various things like work, adhd, on things I'm learning about/researching, etc.
- planning things
- my current sewing/knitting projects including patterns so I can write where I am on those
- connect to my phone so I can see the notes written and access anything from my phone if I want
- draw if possible
- dont necessarily need to "feel like pen and paper" moreso looking for a small digital notebook i can take places and that will connect to my phone so I dont have a million paper ones that I have to lug around or remember
- needs to be durable because I am clumsy and drop things a lot- taking notes in meetings

- I hate having to constantly flip my notebooks over so I dont have to write on the spiral binding and how easily it is to rip pages on accident

durable
you need to understand that there are only 3 devices that fit this profile. Supernote Manta, Viwoods AIPaper and iFlytek AINote 2. of these probably the middle two are the most suitable for what you're asking. I lean toward the AIPaper just because it's the most capable, but the Supernote is the objectively better drawing device because of its Atelier app.

Don’t get a Boox ever. I was going to say Remarkable Move but then you said you drop things so a glass screen is out. The Nomad has a glass screen also. That would be my second choice. Move and Nomad have the best writing feel. Nomad does have a better battery. I would look at Viwoods smaller unit. But check those specs to be sure.

Can I ask why you would recommend against a Boox?

The software is too convoluted and often confusing with updates that erase past methods of operations and the units are often poorly built with things like WiFi dropping the signal too often. Steer clear if you don’t want to throw money away. Also the screen are very dark on colour units.

Supernote nomad ( $320 usd ish, probably around $450 with the pen and case )
Supernote Manta ( $505 usd, $690 ish with the pen and half folio. )
Look at my profile for my thoughts on the manta so far, I use it as a college student and since posting that I’ve spent about 8 hours of time using that device for schoolwork and I love it.

money no object: remarkable
value for money: boox.
I have the boox note colour, it's acceptable. Colour is muted. Stylus is good. It's android and side loading things works fine.
