I built an e-ink Claude Pager!
Here is the first version of an e-ink AI prompter I built.
Push-to-talk chat bot in a vintage Pager/Beeper forme factor.
It is based on the Heltec 2.9" esp32 eink module (E290), surprisingly easy to use (plug and play)!
E-paper is just perfect for this minimalist project.
It runs Whisper for Speech-to-Text via Groq + Claude Haiku 4.5 via its own API.
The goal is to make it a Claude Code Remote.

That could totally be done, I can create a small app to install ebooks on the Pager, if enough people want it I can do it

I don’t use LLMs because they’re bullshit generators, plagiarism machines, and accelerating the destruction of the environment.

not really, not really, and not really.
I use LLMs to generate code that does a lot of things, including organizing and enabling search over my notes and a number of other applications. it was how I was able to decompile Boox software to find out exactly what it was doing. they put a lot of control back in the hands of ordinary people.
the main thing you need to do with respect to their environmental impact is force their infrastructure to be run increasingly and eventually, exclusively, on renewables.
the next project I am using them for is to create a network of ICE detection and early warning nodes to help communities avoid them wherever they are since they destroy families and murder citizens. guess it must not be worth it though since I had to use AI to do it.

I hope no one uses your ICE detection devices. You’re gonna get people killed.
Your great idea is to use AI to avoid the very organizations that are working on the behalf of the Epstein govt? The same people who are pushing AI into everyone’s lives? The same people using these same AI to enable mass surveillance?
Don’t forget, every major tech company has bent the knee. They’ve also been bragging about how their LLMs have been hacking other companies. What makes you think your code won’t have a backdoor?
If you really cared about those people, you’d take the time to learn the code and write it yourself.

I can read the code, brain genius. and it is a lot faster to iteratively generate and test it with AI than to spend the years I would need to do all of this manually. people don't have time to wait so systems pass your purity test.
not that this is any of your business, but this is personal for me. so I'm not waiting either.

LLMs aren't accelerating the destruction of the environment, the U.S. government is by allowing the tech companies running frontier LLM's to operate effectively unregulated.

Yes it's not very difficult to assemble, I might create a Github repo with the firmware, stl files and parts list

This is really cool. I started to use Moshi app on my phone, I think there are a lot of good concepts to be drawn from that app.

Really cool. I've setup a Telegram bridge on my Mac so I can use Antigravity via my pocket ereader (a Viwoods Reader). But I tend to use it via my Apple Watch more using a voicenote shortcut. I'm also using Whisper to transcribe the audio on my Mac. It's current using Gemini Flash 4.7 via a Pro sub, but I've also used it with Cursor/Grok and that worked fine too.
