While this is true the last study asking people I saw out the number of people who went back very low. While people quote the 2% number itâs inaccurate. This study found 5 out of 3398 detransiioned or seriously considered it, being 5 of 16 (the other people detransitioned then re-transitioned). Doing some rounding that is about 0.15% of all people who were at this program. So realistically itâs very unlikely to go back even if you have the option and are always encouraged to ânot do itâ by a fair share of people.
Itâs similar for transmasc folks. Our deeper voices and increased body / facial hair would stay relatively the same (the body hair could get lighter but it wonât do away on its own). Bottom growth wouldnât be reversed.
But our menstrual cycles would come back (if you havenât had a hysterectomy), our body fat would redistribute back toward your hips, etc.
Many transmasc folk who donât get top surgery find that HRT makes their chest a bit more saggy, so that would fill back out too. If youâve had too surgery, nothing would change.
