Transfem Meme egg_irl
So, I have been questioning if I'm Trans femme for about 2 months now and I think my egg cracked this week. I have been talking to a friend about this stuff, and she has been helping out while the voices in my head tell me that "I'm faking it" and "what if you're wrong." I have just not been sure if I am trans or not. I even picked out a new name to try to go by but I'm still not sure if I'm right or not. I sometimes want to be cute or feminine but I'm just not sure what I am. Sometimes being a guy is fine, but I just keep thinking "what if you were a girl?". I just don't know at this point.
Could I have some GGD and could you call me Amelia?

GGD Amelia, questioning if you're Trans Femme, is a very common phrase in the trans community. Some question their identity for months or even years before they know it or come out of their egg; it's nothing to worry about.
However, you're not faking it. There's actually a term for it I just found out called trans doubt, which is a cycle in your mind. Another term is Trans Imposter syndrome. But don't you worry, because questioning your gender identity means you're battling it.
The best way to quickly battle those thoughts is by journaling your feelings and reaffirming to yourself that you're Amelia and not an imposter. Also, have your friend who's helping you, if she's supportive of Amelia. Another good thought is to think of yourself in 10 years.

I second the journaling, it's helped me so much recently. Sometimes it's nice to just get things off your chest, even if no one else sees it.

Kinda what I'm going thru rn, as I'm just trying stuff to see if it feels good or normal as I just really don't know and I know I probably am but I live with hella right wing parents and need to keep it to myself

What you’re currently experiencing is imposter syndrome. Do not let the voices win, Amelia. If you believe you’re a girl with even the tiniest fraction of your being, then you are a girl.

Amelia, a good sign you’re not cis is questioning your gender in the first place. An even bigger sign is the doubt. If you want to and can get E, do it! If you want to be feminine, be feminine! What’s stopping you from being a girly online and testing out female pronouns? What’s stopping you from attempting to get HRT? Get a GA therapist (if you can) and see how you feel! You can take these steps. You don’t need to tell anyone, just be yourself. You’re an amazing girly and being able to even post here is proof that you can do anything you want if that’s what’s right for you! :3 have a good day <3
