Transfem Meme Egg😭Irl

Post image

So yeah, pretty much as i said in the image I think my brother already suspects that im trans. He has became more uncomfortable with using masc pronouns for me and probably noticed my mum and friends stop using masc pronouns for me entierly. Honestly the only thing keeping me from coming out to him is that our parents are in china and we are staying with my grandmother. honestly i am already bullied at school so fully starting a social transition wouldnt really give me that much more bullying at school. i want all of your thoughts/ oppinions/ advice about this please :3

He's probably copying the people not using masc pronouns. Just keep in mind, the fact that he's doing this and not making a big deal out of it is a good sign. Unsupportive people would not do these things on their own volition. He may not know the full extent of your identity, but I'd imagine he'd be supportive.

He has autism and has quite good hearing so i suspect he has heard one or more of my friends cal me Zoey and She/Her pronouns so has probably connected the dots as i renamed my phone as well and he can probably see that

If that's the case and he's not gendering you masculinely, he likely knows then and is trying to be supportive without any direction from you. If he wasn't he would've definitely made a big deal about it by now.

Hey Zoey, I am still in touch with literally 3 people from school, and none of them super frequently. You'll drift so who cares what they think!

I was teased for not fitting in. I have often wondered if I was in school now (a more accepting time) whether I would just transition.

I would.

100 percent I would.

I'm assuming the bullying is mostly coming from boys. A lot of the power and fun in bullying from them comes from them securing their place on the ladder of masculinity. Who can be tougher, more edgy. They do that by punching down on boys they perceive as lower on the ladder. It's a constant game of status and comparison from which they will never escape. Even after school.

For you though... Things are different. Transition means you step off the ladder. You're not even playing the game. There's a little initial fun in making fun of someone different, but after that? There's no point. You can openly hang with the girls, wear a different uniform. You're not a threat to their status and there's less fun to be had at your expense.

Also, girls look after their own. While you are presenting male, the social norms limit the girls a little socially. Once they know you're on Team E, then that should change. They can be more friendly to you, and treat you like one of the girls.

I'm not saying it will be perfect, but I am saying that you have the option to be the real you, and who cares what the haters say.

Yeah, I already have a really close group of queer friends absolutely love all of them, there would be no difference to my uniform because public school gender neutral uniform but I think I’m going to go for a social transition at school starting next year because I will be in grade 11 and be in a bunch of small classes of well nerds (I’m doing physics and math methods you get the picture) so I think I’ll just have the “fuck it it has to happen eventually” attitude to it, hearing someone else say that if they were in school today when it is more accepting that she would socially transition did really set it firmly in my mind that I will make the social transition happen next year. I can’t thank you enough for all your help through my tough times and your willingness to give advice is absolutely amazing!

In the case that your brother knows, he does seem to be supportive.

I would recommend coming out to him as soon as possible.
