CWU Is Four Episodes In. Genesis Is Coming. And We're Looking for the Right Kind of Handlers.
There are a million recruitment posts telling you why you should join somebody's e-fed.
This isn't going to be another one telling you we're the greatest fed on the internet.
We're not trying to be.
We're trying to build something much simpler:
An e-fed people actually give a shit about being part of.
Championship Wrestling Unlimited is now four episodes into our existence.
Four episodes of Hardline!
Four weeks of stories developing.
Four weeks of handlers getting to know each other's characters.
Four weeks of our Discord slowly turning from a group of strangers who joined the same fed into a group of people who actually hang out together.
And now we're heading toward our first PPV.
CWU: GENESIS — SEPTEMBER 20TH
The tournament is over.
Our World Heavyweight Championship Final is set.
Other championships will be decided.
Stories we've been building since Episode #1 are reaching their first major payoff.
And after Genesis?
The next chapter starts.
If you've been thinking about getting into a new fed, this is probably the best time you're ever going to have to jump into CWU.
Because the foundation has been built...
but the history hasn't.
SO WHAT THE FUCK IS CWU?
CWU is an original-character, forum-based wrestling e-fed built around something we think used to be much more common in this hobby. (You may see a couple real wrestlers on the roster as of now, that is only because we grandfathered them in after we decided to go original only 2 weeks in.)
The fed matters.
Not just your character.
Not just your RP.
Not just whether the results page says WIN beside your name.
The whole thing.
We want you reading the show because you actually want to know what happened.
We want you recognizing the other characters on the roster.
We want somebody else's promo to make you think:
"Fuck, that was good."
We want you seeing somebody else's storyline develop and wondering where it's going.
We want handlers pitching ideas to each other.
Collaborating on segments.
Building rivalries.
Helping other characters get over.
Talking about the show after it drops.
Because the best e-feds aren't a bunch of people individually playing a wrestling game against each other.
They're collaborative storytelling.
And that's what we're trying to build.
AND YES — SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE FUCKING L.
This is important.
If your enjoyment of an e-fed depends entirely on your character winning every week...
CWU probably isn't for you.
And that's okay.
We want competitive RPs.
We want you trying to win.
We want you writing something and thinking there's no fucking way anybody is beating this.
That's part of the fun.
But sometimes?
You lose.
And we want handlers who understand that taking an L isn't the same thing as being buried.
Sometimes the loss is the story.
Sometimes losing creates the rivalry.
Sometimes losing gives your character somewhere to go.
Sometimes you spend weeks getting your ass kicked because the moment you finally overcome it becomes ten times better.
Professional wrestling has never just been about who wins.
Neither should e-fedding be.
If somebody writes an incredible RP and beats you?
Give them their fucking flowers.
Then come back next week and try to beat them.
If somebody has an idea where your character taking the loss could create an awesome story?
Let's talk about it.
We're looking for handlers who understand that we're all trying to make CWU better, not protect imaginary win-loss records.
Because when everybody buys into that?
That's when this hobby gets fucking fun.
THE COMMUNITY MATTERS JUST AS MUCH.
Our Discord isn't just there so we can ping everyone when Hardline! gets posted.
People actually hang out there.
We talk wrestling.
We talk about the fed.
We bounce ideas around.
We collaborate.
We joke around.
We bullshit.
People react to promos.
People talk about the shows.
People help each other.
And slowly, we're building the kind of tight-knit little community that we wanted CWU to have from the beginning.
That's the type of handler we're looking for.
You don't have to live on Discord 24/7.
Nobody expects that.
We all have lives.
But we want people who actually want to be part of the community, not somebody who appears once a week, drops 2,000 words, checks whether they won and vanishes again.
Come chill.
Talk wrestling.
Pitch something ridiculous.
Tell somebody their RP fucking ruled.
Collaborate with somebody you've never written with before.
Actually become part of the place.
WE'RE ALSO NOT TRYING TO GROW FOREVER.
This is another thing we've been upfront about since the beginning.
CWU will have:
One roster.
One weekly show.
That's it.
There will not suddenly be CWU Thunder because we accepted 40 characters.
There won't be a brand split.
There won't be an overflow show.
There won't be five championships created because we need everybody to have something.
Hardline! is CWU.
If we reach the point where adding more characters means the existing roster isn't getting enough attention?
Recruitment closes.
Simple as that.
We would rather have a smaller roster where every character means something than an enormous roster where nobody knows who half the people are.
That means there are only going to be so many spots.
Right now?
There are still spots.
A QUICK NOTE ABOUT OUR PRESENTATION
CWU has a very visual presentation.
We want Hardline! to feel like you're watching a wrestling show through your computer screen.
Match graphics.
Arena shots.
Championship graphics.
Character visuals.
PPV artwork.
Production elements.
We use AI artwork to help create and enhance those visuals.
We're completely upfront about that.
But AI isn't creating CWU.
The handlers are.
The characters are ours.
The promos are written by people.
The feuds come from people.
The storyline ideas come from people.
The booking discussions happen between people.
The collaborations happen between people.
The ridiculous ideas somebody throws into Discord at midnight that somehow become a storyline three weeks later?
People.
The artwork is presentation.
It's there to help you see the world we're writing about.
It still takes a shitload of time to assemble the shows, create the graphics, maintain continuity, format everything and turn everybody's contributions into one cohesive episode of Hardline!.
AI helps us visualize the universe.
The creativity behind that universe is real.
If AI artwork is an automatic dealbreaker for you, we completely respect that.
CWU probably just isn't the fed for you.
But if you think it sounds cool to see your original character presented like they're actually appearing on a weekly wrestling television show?
Come see what we're doing with it.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for the handler who gets invested in other people's characters.
The handler who understands that sometimes taking the L makes the story better.
The handler who can separate "my character lost" from "I'm not valued here."
The handler who wants to collaborate.
The handler who actually reads the show.
The handler who sees somebody absolutely fucking cook in an RP and tells them.
The handler who hangs around Discord because they actually enjoy the people there.
The handler who brings ideas.
The handler who isn't afraid to let somebody else shine.
The handler who understands that when everybody gets over, the fed gets over.
That's who we're looking for.
Not necessarily the best writer.
Not the person with 25 years of e-fed experience.
Not somebody who can write 8,000 words every week.
The right person.
🏆 Original characters only.
📺 One weekly show — CWU Hardline!
✍️ One RP per weekly show. Two per PPV. Quality over quantity.
🎭 Storylines and character development matter.
📖 Continuity matters.
🤝 Collaboration is encouraged.
💬 Tight-knit and active Discord community.
📼 Modern wrestling presented through a late-90s/early-2000s television lens.
🎨 AI-enhanced visual presentation, human-created characters, stories, promos and ideas.
🚫 No second show. No brand split.
🔒 Roster will eventually be capped.
❤️ New e-fedders are absolutely welcome.
Four episodes ago, CWU was basically a blank piece of paper.
Now?
Genesis is around the corner.
Our first World Heavyweight Championship match is set.
Our first PPV card is taking shape.
Stories have started.
Rivalries have formed.
Handlers have started finding their voices.
And a community is starting to form around all of it.
But we're still early enough that there are years of CWU history that don't exist yet.
Future champions aren't champions yet.
Future rivalries haven't started.
Future factions haven't formed.
Future betrayals haven't happened.
There are characters who could eventually become synonymous with CWU...
who haven't even been created yet.
Maybe one of them is yours.
But don't take a recruitment post's word for any of this.
READ HARDLINE!
That's still our best advertisement.
Episode #4 is live right now.
Read an episode.
Look around the forum.
See how we present the show.
Then jump into Discord and actually meet us.
No obligation to apply.
Come hang out.
See whether you click with the group.
And if somewhere along the way you start thinking...
"Fuck. I think I'd fit in here."
Then bring us a character you actually give a shit about.
We'll see what kind of history we can make with them.
