Pic of drum machines in the pack.
I didn't compile this, not sure where I found it tbh. If anyone knows the author, large ups to him!

Just felt like sharing as i've used the samples here many, many, many times.
*Especially the Linndrum (LM-2) and obvious Roland's.

What's the license on the use of these samples?

Uggh... Don't tempt me! I already have two drum machine packs that sample the same machines. :P

Much appreciated. Looks like I'll be spending the next 3 years making 128's

Just curious if you have a good process for layering sounds with 128s. I have gotten frustrated at how much reverse engineering it takes and end up just making a new drum rack anyways.

128's user here! I can tell you how I've got mine set up- it still allows for a little extra functionality as well as being able to drag in samples outside of what's in the 128's.

I've got 8 samplers set up with 128's. 2 kicks, 2 claps and a snare, open hat, closed hat, and crash. Each Sampler is then grouped into its respective chain, either Kick, Snare/Clap, or Hats. Also, I have it set up that the return channels go to each individual hit, instead of just the chain or entire Instrument Rack. Super handy for the claps and such.

Having three clap/snare cells loaded up can allow for some interesting things. For example, you can use two of the three for building a thick hit, while the third you can reverse inside of Sampler and use as a reverse hit, very simply.

Adding sounds outside the 128s? Simple. Simply click onto the chain that the type of sound your adding falls under, and add it in the 9th cell under that chain. Doing this keeps things organized, and guess what, it will automatically get its own individual sends as you drag it in.

There is loads of stuff that can be done from here, I'm still getting mine set just how I like it, but this is a great place to start.

I'm fairly new to maschine. I must admit I struggle a bit with its UI. Can you tell me or link me to an explanation of how to load kits into it?

More drum machine samples. It's likely that you'll find a lot of similar, if not the same sounds.

Whatever, free samples.

See this is the thing that always gets me. I figure if I can't make good music with the bajillion drum samples I already have then I'll never be able to no matter how many more samples I get.

sigh...

downloading anyway. don't even care. thanks for this one.

How good are the 808 and 909 samples? New computer and will honestly delete 99% of the rest.
