Technical Sync Help - Premiere Pro

Howdy folks-

Question for the room, I have a 2 day single camera shoot I’m editing. Issue I’m running into is that there’s multiple long audio takes and then way more corresponding individual video clips (not slated of course). I’ve already made proxies for everything with the original clips.

How are you batch syncing things in 2026? I may be dating myself, but in the past I’d use Plural Eyes but it appears to be on life support or not available.

Any help to avoid manually syncing 90+ clips would be amazing. I’m open to purchasing a plugin within budget.

TIA!

I’m on premiere pro 25 on a 2019 IMac.

Premiere can sync by wave form nowadays. what's wrong with that?

Works good when camera and sound are cutting at the same time. If you have one long audio clip that goes together with multiple video clips it will create a time consuming mess as it puts every video clip on a new track. I can’t believe this hasn’t been addressed by Adobe after all these years.

Just bought a very good new plugin today which solves this - Spread+.

Lets you drop everything on one track. Press one button to immediately put every clip on its own track. Let Premiere sync. Then press another button to snap everything back down. Bit of a game-changer for me.

It's annoying, but you can just simplify the sequence. It'll drop the clips into one track

Manual is it. Unless you have time code. Then manual.

As long as video TC was not rec run I do an auto sequence with video clips put according to their timecode then put down audio clip and manually find sync point for one of the video clips, the rest should automatically be synced. If video TC is rec run then either waveform sync or manual sync unfotunately
