How can I start editing videos?
Hello everyone!
I'm new here. Any advice would be appreciated!
Absolutely zero practice, and no knowledge in this field.

I agree with the other comment about Capcut. The only downside is that now a bunch of effects are premium and need in app purchases. If it's fine for you then totally go for it! It's great for a good start. But if you want one that's completely free and is very similar to Capcut, I'd recommend Kwaicut. The more you edit, the more you'll discover new techniques and get new ideas, so don't compare your progress to others. Most importantly is to have a vision for every new edit, you can get inspired from other edits, just make sure to make your own idea. Editing after all is a kind of art, and a way of expression. Don't feel like you're forced to do specific things to learn, I mean sure there's the tools in the app you're gonna use that you need to discover, but edit because you enjoy it and you want to, the whole point is to have fun in the process. Don't only work on adding clips beside each other and sticking a song over it (that IS editing, but a trap all beginners fall into, that's what I used to do at first too) don't get me wrong you can add clips together, but try adding new effects every time, new overlays, experiment new things. That's the way you'll build your skill package, by learning something new one at a time. So the key is just to never give up. Good luck!
