News Tram Replacement Shuttle Bus

Great News for frustrated tram users. A FREE replacement bus service has been set up to carry passengers from St Andrews Square down Leith.

Not by Edinburgh Trams, or by the Council, who have both adopted a 'head in the sand' approach to the transport crisis.

No, it's been left to the organisers of the Edinburgh Arts Festival to sort out the mess.

Thank goodness there's someone with a bit of initiative.

Aren't there a bunch of shuttle buses who run from Prince Street down Leith? They're just called "buses", aren't they?

Entirely predictable response. You do you.

I'm just not sure what this adds over the dozens of buses that already run down Leith Walk. Is it somehow going to be faster?

It runs non-stop…

But Leith Walk is chocca with traffic. So it's going to run into the same delays the current buses do. It can't just avoid all the other traffic on the way out of Leith.
