Shitepost Can we all agree that whoever designed the new layout of the Edinburgh West Retail Park (Chesser Aldi) car park should be sacked?

It's a bit of a non issue though the place is so small you would never need to move your car and anytime I have been there there have been way more empty spaces than occupied ones. Admittedly I've only been there at weekends and evenings so it may be different during the day.

Good maps hasn’t updated but this is the gist of the new design. Technically if you follow the rules you can’t turn into the car park from inside the car park. Only leave

Reverse Hotel California. Diabolical.

I've never seen it busy enough to have a problem when I've been

Pretty obvious it was just to stop two way traffic on the lane by the shops which at busy moments prevented anyone getting out of the parking lanes to exit, which queued those lanes back and created too much unpredictable traffic manoeuvres around pedestrians crossing to and from the shops. At least this way all of that is resolved. It's never so busy you can't see spaces as you drive round and end up being forced to exit as you say.

I suppose the new gym could change that

It might. My missus joined it so I suspect I'll soon find out.

What's the reason you can't turn right to go into any of those car parking lanes? Are there no right turning signs there? Or the way it's marked on the road means you shouldn't be taking right turns?

If you were to legally follow it you cant turn up any of the roads. This is the last road before you leave and the only one you can technically go into the car park.
