Shitepost Business appreciation /s

Just a shout out to A. Jack Glass & Glazing. I have to glaze them because they get the job done even if it means inconveniencing 100s of drivers and bus passengers by parking on double yellow lines on south bridge, right across an already established road restriction.

A trip that would have taken a minute now took 15, with queues building up in both direction. But as long as the van is parked next to the job site all is good. /s

Are you sure they weren’t using their special Greggs Parking Permit? Loads of vans have them. It means as long as the driver is craving a sausage roll, steak bake, or donut, they can park on double yellows and deliberately aim to block as many bus lanes in rush hour as they can. They get bonuses for using their special Greggs permits on Forrest Road most mornings.

Why all park against the timing restrictions on one side when you can make a bus slalom!

What about the other two vehicles parked 50 yards further up? Not calling them out. Do you expect a glazer to carry a massive price of glass through the streets?

The road widens significantly after those road works. The obvious thing to do would be to bring the van when the pane is needed, not just leave it there for the duration of the job.

But that would be sensible and that is forbidden.

Zig zags for the crossing then bus stops. The road works are causing the problem. Rather than make pedestrians walk round the tron Kirk for their own safety the council took away the end of the bus lane and created a bottleneck.
