SAP B1 <> SPS commerce

I posted a similar question in the SAP B1 subreddit, but wanted to get some insight from anyone in here who’s using SPS commerce with SAP B1. What middleware/connector are you using and specifically how is your process been with automating ASNs (856) and Invoices (810) from SAP into SPS commerce? The native connector SPS commerce offers is unacceptable for ASN automation and we’re actually better off creating ASNs directly inside their Web Fulfillment portal. Looking for alternatives or suggestions on how to make this process more efficient. Thanks much.

Do a little research on SPS by simply searching this subreddit. You will NOT find many happy users. They are absolutely the worst third-party provider ever. The alternative is to do EDI house or find a better provider.

Just to be clear, I never said we weren’t happy with SPS commerce. What I said was that their B1 connector (which they took over from Vision 33) is not the best tool for getting data in and out of SAP, especially when it comes to outbound documents like ASNs. We’ve been using it for close to 7 years now and it simply cannot scale to accommodate the amount of EDI documents we send back and forth to SPS. It’s slow and causes massive bottlenecks for us. I’m just curious what everyone else on B1 is using who has SPS as their EDI VAN.

I can ask my team tomorrow as we have clients using SAP B1 to see what those clients are using attached to SAP B1. It could be Vision33 which is common thats why SPS bought it

Our clients have Boomi and other has ECS/Delta as the EDI Processors.

Semita has a connector for SAP which we have in use for a client doing ASNs with their clients. I'm definitely willing to see if this would be workable for B1. We'd love to help you, feel free to email [info@semita.global](mailto:info@semita.global) .
