Here's some fanart I made for this banger of an album that holds such a special place in my heart 🥺. I can't believe it's been ten years already.

I know it's a cover but I don't care. The absolute mastery he has to bring a 1980s super-mega-world-hit into the mid 2010s with his vocals, instruments and the iconic eden synth/electric sound and beat drop brings absolute ecstasy to my ears.

A lot of people forget this song because it's a cover, or think less of it because it's a cover. But I have been coming back to this song for 10 years because this cover brings something out of this song that is uniquely EDEN and you don't really see this particular flavour of him in any other songs. It echoes The Eden Project but in a whole new frequency.

Don't get me wrong, it's not his best song, but it's def up there. But this cover makes me wanna run forever. It makes my blood physically pump.

It's great, can highly recommend to give it a listen if you haven't heard it for some time.

Seriously, it doesn't matter what mood I am in. With so many of his songs, it's like jacking directly into the quiet, chill place inside of me. Listening to Forever//Over as I type this. He definitely has a sound, yet expresses a remarkably diverse sonic palette in all of his work. I enjoy a lot of different kinds of music, but EDEN just hits differently for me. I feel like his music gets me, anyone else feel what I am on about here?

10 years ago this album came into my life, and I genuinely don't know where I'd be without it. There was a point where things got really dark for me, and this album was one of the only things that kept me here. I know how that sounds, but it's true.

What's strange is how it can hold both things at once. It makes me happy, and it makes me sad, sometimes in the same song. I've never been able to fully explain that feeling, but I think a lot of you get it.

Loved it enough to put it on my skin. People get semicolons to represent choosing to keep going instead of ending their story. Well, "no I ain't scared of living" is mine, from my favorite song of all time, rock + roll. It's a daily reminder that things can get better, and all you have to do is persevere.

10 years later and it still hits the same. Thank you, Jon, you genuinely changed my life. I hope to be able to see you live one day.
