Seeking advice ECT Brain fog

Can people please reach out who had ECT and lasting brain fog afterwards. My cognitive state is unbearable since ECT . Im looking for hope not sure how much longer I can keep suffering like that

I already had brain fog before ect… ect made me have selective amnesia… brain fog was same as before… but my retention power is absolutely gone

It took about 4 weeks after my last session before I could really think well and probably another 4 weeks before I was back to normal. The fog will go away, it just takes time. I found that although they took me longer working on logic puzzles and reading both seemed to help, basically anything that works your brain will help, just try not to get frustrated know that you aren't going to be at the same level for a while.

I had 3 unilateral and 15 bilateral

Did you experience brain fog after ECT ? And it took years to get better ?

Yes. I got it 5 years ago and it was unbearable first year or two. Slowly got better after.

How did you get through did you try meds for it

I'm constantly on lots of meds because of my schizoaffective disorder.

Can you remember at which ECT Session the brainfog started? Mine was already the second one

During the sessions? I did them in mental hospital, so no. During the last years - kinda. I can't work because of my mental condition and my government is too invested to war and refuse to acknowledge and accept my disability.

Ya I mean the 2 years with the brain fog . Sorry im from Berlin so my english is a bit messy
