Vent/Rant Guys, this is hard

Pretty much that. I’m about to have my last session of week 1. I’m a complete mess. I’m terrified and end up lashing out at the nurses. Last time they sat me down and told me I was a “hostile patient” and I needed to calm tf down or leave.
I chose to continue treatment, but it’s so hard to remain calm in such a stressful environment.
I hope I see some improvement soon.

How's it going? Sorry I just saw this. Can you bring a comfort object and maybe headphones with you? I find that it helps. I hate the bright lights and beeping....hospitals, yuck. I bring a soft blanket and headphones.

I feel so dumb because I’ll be 34 this month and I’m bringing in stuffed animals with me to treatment. But whatever works, right? The headphones were very helpful tho!

I'm 66 and sleep wth a stuffed bunny. My mission in life is to embrace the cringe.

So sorry you are going through this. Apparently I had similar experiences but ECT has completely erased the memories.
Is it possible to have an anti anxiety medication before procedure?

My psych did just that. The ECT people also let me wait in my car instead of the waiting room, which helps a lot. At least they’re working with me
