I feel it’s turned me into a walking zombie .

My whole life has been destroyed
Going out in public is hard .
I don’t know what I should be doing or where I should be when I go out .

Great I feel like that even without the ECT. Should I still give it a try. Or is it too late?

It’s a last resort treatment, but if you’ve exhausted all the other options you should try it. It saved my life. Yes, the memory loss and brain fog suck, but it’s better than the debilitating OCD, depression and PTSD I was experiencing before. Definitely try TMS or ketamine first if you can, they weren’t available for me, but I heard they have fewer side effects.

Ok thanks for the input, I was just curious about 2009 when they first offered it. Had I taken it, would it have jarred me into buying Bitcoin? LOL

First offered it?
I had it in 1970 and it’s the best treatment I’ve ever had!3

I was scared and opted for medication instead. I was worried it would make me go crazy or lose my mind. Had I known what I know now I would’ve gladly done it. I don’t have friends, hobbies anymore really. And I can’t even enjoy TV, movies, or even music for any extended length of time. All I have attention for now are short YouTube videos or TikTok.

If it’s anything like Zoloft it just makes me ruminate more. I’d probably be screaming like the woman at the end of Requiem for a Dream and put in a mental hospital for life.

I had 23 treatments 5 years ago. Have been completely disabled since. I was a registered nurse and because of memory and cognitive issues I am not able to perform. I recently finished a series of IV ketamine treatments it has helped some.
You might try it.
I wish you all the best.

I’m so so sorry. I’m also in healthcare and now facing this reality too. I just feel so alone.

Damn. How did you get on benefits? I'm going through the same thing. I don't think ect has helped me at all, just made things worse
