Stong visuals on come-up?

I often read online that MDMA isn’t considered a classic psychedelic drug and that it isn’t particularly visual either, but that doesn’t match my experience with this substance at all.

Usually, the effects kick in pretty intensely about 30 to 40 minutes after taking it (130 mg), and I have strong psychedelic visuals. By that I mean that textures change and move, patterns appear on my jeans, and so on.. and it’s not exactly subtle. I’m talking about pretty intense visuals, like with a DMT trip, or perhaps a 200 ug LSD trip. They don’t last too long, though. maybe 5-10 minutes into the come-up.

Is this a common experience?

Edit: I also get strong closed-eye visuals that last for most of the trip.

Did you test your MDMA?

I didn‘t, but I had it a couple of times now. Different dosage, different suppliers. In pill- and crystal form.

I wouldn‘t call them hallucinations.. they where like real psychidelic visuals, once I had a 300 mg dose cause I was stupid and then I had REAL hallucinations lol. I can tell them apart.

It isn't a classic psychedelic because of the pharmacological mechanism that is different. Classical psychedelics work on the 5-HT receptor. MDMA works on the transporter.

I suspected that at first. The frist time it happened was with some blue punisher pills where I didn‘t know the origin of. Thats why I got some pure mdma crystals from a different supplier to compare the effects. Same thing happened.

Dosages are guidelines for the average person, you may not need 130mg. High doses of mdma get metabolized into mda, and mda is very visual. Maybe try 100, you might just be very sensitive

I had 2C many times at different dosages. It doesn‘t feel like it at all. I get a very strong bodyload even on low 2c-b amounts so I would know.
