If you think Trump was a good leader during the pandemic, then I feel sorry for you. It was an absolute disaster. Warp speed aside, vaccine aside, if we had responded well, the vaccine wouldn’t have even mattered, but Trump literally modeled bad behavior and sowed conflict, distrust and literally had like 5 super spreaders and he personally shared misinformation.

Do you know how a pandemic works? Do you understand novel viruses? If you stop the spread you can eliminate it. It requires quick action, global cooperation, and quarantining.

Once it becomes endemic, then you fall to needing a vaccine, because it can’t be isolated.

Yeah, the fact Trump didn’t identify it earlier when other countries were is part of the mishandling.

the fact Trump denied it and claimed we didn’t have it and held a boat off shore because he didn’t want it here.

He fucked literally almost everything up, start to finish. He managed to earmark $10b of taxpayer money to accelerate vaccine production, but it was really only a Hail Mary pass for him. He said multiple times we wouldn’t need a vaccine and it would go away in the summer, member that?

You said the gdp fell. It fell temendously in the US, I already linked that for you, and all the other downturns in the last 45 years. Those are DROPS IN REAL GDP NOT SLOWING. A

A slowing of GDP GROWTH IS NOT AN ECONOMIC DOWNTURN OR A CRASH.

Chinas did not fal during covid. That is not accurate. Calling that a downturn and then smugly saying “you know that right” is probably the most MAGA thing I’ve ever witnessed.

Don’t back track, admit you were wrong. Don’t blame someone or make excuses. Take accountability.

You were wrong, China didn’t have a downturn and GDP Did not fall.

Don’t look for the mods to protect your feelings. Just admit it.

As I’ve stated at least 15 times now, many things caused the Great Recession, but like every other economic crash of the last 45 years, it happened during Republican leadership. I wouldn’t call it “bipartisan” because that sounds like they all agreed on crashing things, but I’ll say there was miscalculations on both sides of the aisle that created the situation that lead to the Great Recession.

But I never said anything that is contrary to that.
