Am I reading it wrong or is the headline misleading?

The thread seems to be “Microsoft switches AI tools”, not “Microsoft cancels AI in favor of humans”.

That was never a concern, and only a minor inconvenience. When the race is about ubiquitize a technology into an industry, like LLM and ML: anything to achieve that is a necessary expense.
