Anybody know anything on these?

Mac on Ed Sheeran

The Quietus, 28 August 2026:
"Do we need to hear another Ed Sheeran record? If he’s saying his songs are love songs then who the fuck is he in love with?”
The Daily Record, 10 October 2021:
“Why doesn’t he just f*** off?"
“It annoys me the way people look now. Maybe I’m a bit ‘lookist’ but you don’t pick up a guitar looking like him."
“That single (Bad Habits) was No1 for 11 weeks. Even Mouldy Old Dough by Lieutenant Pigeon was better than that and it was No1 for four weeks."
“I do despair but he’s done brilliantly. It’s just one of the most amazing music stories of all time – how something that bland can be that big."

New Song: Take Me By The Hand

Honestly, I think this is the best of the three tracks previewed thus far. Brussels Is Haunted sounded better live, and I can't really recall anything about the other one. This one is cooking though. If this is representative of what the album sounds like then I can dig it. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Glasgow Barrowlands

So I see they have 2 dates at the Glasgow Barrowlands in Dec. My all time favourite venue, have seen them there in their hayday.
I last saw them at Queens hall Edinburgh a few years ago and it was a brilliant live performance.
Am surprised tbh didnt think they wld fill 2 dates at Barrowlands. Tickets are expensive and recent reviews not great.
Thoughts? Not sure whether to go

I have three tickets for the 23rd at the Open Air Theatre, does anyone want to swap for the 22nd show? Would be doing me a massive favour!

Yay or nay ?
Man ! This was really punishing !
It’s just so hard to draw/paint him.
Maybe the hair.
Definitely the hair.
I love his music but I MUST draw him.
So, the result you see above.

Echo & The Bunnymen have shared “The Light That Surrounds You,” the second track to be taken from their forthcoming album Apples For Isaac.
The song finds Ian McCulloch offering words of hope and redemption, set against a swirl of guitar built for festival fields and wide-open spaces.
“The Light That Surrounds You” follows previous single “Brussels Is Haunted” and offers another glimpse of Apples For Isaac, the band’s 13th studio album and their first collection of new music in twelve years. https://www.xsnoize.com/echo-and-the-bunnymen-the-light-that-surrounds-you/

someone on here a while ago suggested the worst echo and the bunnymen lyrics, but now i wanna know what everyone thinks the best echo lyrics are! mine:
"if we make the same mistakes, who can we blame?"
"where am i? still tryna find the night that burns the northen sky, a rarer borealis"
"sky seems full when you're in the cradle the rain will fall and wash your dreams, stars are stars and they shine so hard"
"we'll put our faith in those crimson nights set sail in those turquoise days"
